Honeywell’s Total Error Band specification tells the complete accuracy story, and it is a meaningful and valuable measurement of the sensor’s true accuracy for design engineers. In Honeywell’s product data sheet for the HumidIcon™ sensor, the Total Error Band specification (±5 %RH) and the accuracy specification (±4 %RH) are stated separately to provide a comparison with competitive products that may not list a Total Error Band specification in their product data sheets.
