Product List
The first competitive advantage the Honeywell HumidIcon™ sensor offers is overall long-term stability of 1.2% of the relative humidity sensor output over five years. Low or no drift on a sensor output is important in industrial and medical applications. Many competitive humidity sensors have to go through a 12-hour at 75% rehydration process that requires special equipment chambers to correct reflow temperature offset. Though Honeywell’s sensor also will experience an offset after wave-solder reflow, it only requires a 5-hour rehydration process under ambient conditions. Therefore customers do not have to buy special humidity chambers. Benefits to customers include minimizing system performance issues, optimizing system uptime, and eliminating the need to regularly recalibrate the sensor in the application, which can often be inconvenient and costly.
