In summary, the Honeywell HumidIcon™ digital humidity/temperature sensor HIH6130/6131 series is the smallest surface-mount sensor in Honeywell’s thermal sensors portfolio. This series offers seven advantages compared to competitive digital humidity/temperature sensors: long term stability, a total error band specification, high reliability, it is low total cost solution, a true temperature-compensated digital I2C output, energy efficiency, and an ultra-small package. An operating temperature range of -25 °C to 85 °C allows for use in many applications. Optional one or two %RH level alarm outputs allow monitoring to determine whether the RH level has exceeded or fallen below preset levels. An on-board multi-function ASIC eliminates the risk and cost of user calibration. There are two available configurations to increase flexibility of use: the HIH-6130 offers no filter and is non-condensing, the HIH-6131 offers a hydrophobic filter and is condensation-resistant which allows for use in condensing environments.
