A key value Honeywell HumidIcon™ sensors offer design engineers is its Total Error Band (TEB) feature. Total Error Band is the maximum deviation from the ideal transfer function of relative humidity over the compensated temperature range from 10% to 90% RH. TEB includes all possible sources of error that the sensor could possibly experience. Total Error Band should not be confused with the term “accuracy”, which is only one component of Total Error Band. The diagram on this slide shows which errors are included in Total Error Band. Errors within the accuracy group include humidity non-linearity, humidity hysteresis, and humidity non-repeatability. Errors included within Total Error Band are all of the accuracy errors plus thermal effect on zero, thermal effect on span, and thermal hysteresis.
