Typical applications and markets for the STW81200 and STuW81300 are cellular base stations and wireless infrastructure, as well as many other areas. Microwave backhaul and point-to-point wireless communications can have a need for these devices. Additionally, satellite and cable TV equipment systems, satellite equipment in particular, for down-conversion and return link modulators have use for RF synthesizers. Cable TV head-end equipment for Docsis 3.1 have data converters that need to be clocked with very high-performance, high-frequency signals, for which high performance synthesizers such as the STW81200 and STuW81300 can be beneficial. Furthermore, communications, public and military radios, space and defense and radar arrays, as well as instrumentation and test equipment manufacturers can all have requirements for RF synthesizers.
