With the LTC3355’s high level of integration, there are no other ICs in Linear’s portfolio that match its functionality. The nearest match is the LTC3226, a derivative of the charge-pump based LTC3225 SuperCap charger that includes powerpath control and a backup LDO. If one adds a high voltage buck to the front end of the LTC3226 the overall functionality is at least closer to that of the LTC3355. However, the LTC3226 has much lower SuperCap charging current.
