Two-Wire ETH Click for 10BASE-T1S Ethernet Integration

The two-wire ETH Click from MIKROE is a compact add-on board built around the Microchip LAN8651B1-E/LM, a low-power, single-port 10BASE-T1S MAC-PHY Ethernet controller. It enables low-cost microcontrollers to interface with 10BASE-T1S networks using a high-speed SPI interface and is compliant with the IEEE 802.3cg-2019 and OPEN Alliance TC-6 specifications.

This board supports both multidrop and point-to-point topologies over a single balanced pair, reducing cabling complexity and cost. It is particularly suited for functional safety applications in industrial and building automation, where deterministic Ethernet communication and EMI robustness are critical. The LAN8651B1-E/LM supports simultaneous transmit and receive operations over SPI, with optional cut-through forwarding for latency-sensitive applications.
