PSoC™ 63 MCU with AIROC™ Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE)
Based on a dual-core architecture – an industry-leading 150 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4 core paired with a 100 MHz Cortex®-M0+ - the PSoC™ 63 MCU with AIROC™ Bluetooth® LE MCU with built-in 2.4 GHz radio is capable of running complex applications alongside the Bluetooth® LE protocol and radio functionality, making it makes it ideal for a broad range of consumer and industrial applications including home automation, wireless sensors, IoT devices, power tools, machine learning, wearables, gaming controllers, connected medical devices and more. The PSoC™ 6-BLE is a system-on-chip that integrates a Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.0 system, the latest-generation of CAPSENSE™ technology, and a host of security features. PSoC™ 6-BLE provides a cost-effective and small-footprint alternative to the combination of an MCU and a Bluetooth® LE radio. The programmable analog and digital subsystems allow flexibility and dynamic fine-tuning of designs.
The device provides a one-chip solution and includes:
- A low-power Bluetooth® LE 5.0 system that can sustain up to four simultaneous connections
- A buck converter for ultra-low-power operation
- An analog front end (AFE) within the device to condition and measure heart rate sensor outputs and to monitor battery voltage
- Serial communication blocks (SCBs) to interface with multiple digital sensors including a global positioning system (GPS) module
- A Pulse-Density Modulation (PDM) Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) hardware engine and digital microphone interface for voice
- CAPSENSE™ technology for reliable touch and proximity sensing
- A serial memory interface (SMIF) that supports an interface to Quad-Serial Peripheral Interface (QSPI)-enabled external memory
- Digital logic (UDB) and peripherals (TCPWM) to drive the display and haptics
