Renesas’ ICS557-03 is a PCI-Express Gen1 compliant clock generator with spread spectrum capability. The device is intended for any application requiring PCI-Express clocks, including PC, embedded, consumer, or industrial system designs. Renesas’ spread spectrum technology allows you to substantially reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI), using either center or down spread configurable via input select pins. The ICS557G-03LF is the most cost effective way of generating two differential (HCSL) spread spectrum outputs, by using either a standard fundamental mode 25 MHz crystal or reference clock input.
