In this video, Erik introduces the Microchip AVR-IoT WG Google Cloud Evaluation Board and the Helix Semiconductors MXC 200 Series Power Solutions.

The AVR-IoT WG evaluation board from Microchip Technology was created in partnership with Google to provide a secure development board that can connect with Google cloud services. The heart of the AVR-IoT is the ATMEGA4808 8-bit microcontroller coupled with a security chip and a wireless network controller. The AVR-IoT is compatible with the Atmel Studio 7.0 IDE and DigiKey’s DKIoT Studio.

The MXC 200 series integrated circuit chip from Helix provides DC/DC conversion without the use of a traditional transformer. These high voltage switch capacitor ICs are targeted for use in both non-isolated and isolated, buck or boost DC-DC converters, power over internet devices and LED drivers. Helix does this with their proprietary MuxCapacitor voltage conversion and capacitive isolation. CapIso transformerless isolation technology provides high efficiency voltage conversion. MXC 200 series evaluation boards provide an opportunity for designers to experiment with the extensive capability of the Helix MXC 200 series ICs.
