These new devices complement NXP’s broad line of existing discrete bipolars. A straightforward product naming convention allows for easy device identification and selection. The 6th generation devices have a higher VCE which enables operation from higher supply voltages and provides the best power and intermodal performance. These devices are denoted with a 6 after the device prefix. A 7th generation device operates from lower voltages and have improved noise figure and gain. These models are listed with a “7”.
