Analog Devices offers the MAX14900E, an eight channel, high-speed, high-side switch to enable a fast, flexible, and robust DO designs in a compact form factor. In terms of throughput, it is up to 70 times faster compared to other multi-channel high-side switches with a low 0.8 µs max propagation delay in push-pull mode. The MAX14900E also has a low RDSON of 85 mΩ typical and 165 mΩ max over temperature. This helps in reducing heat dissipation by 20% compared and increases drive efficiency in comparison to other drivers with higher RDSON. The MAX14900E also has an extensive list of diagnostic features like individual channel and global monitoring, open wire or open load detection, output logic state feedback, and UVLO. These set of features aid in increasing equipment up time and reliability. Also, the integrated CRC (cyclic redundancy check) reduces communication errors compared to devices that have parity checking.
