New Product Discoveries- Initial State's PiOT Software and VersaSense's MicroPnP Starter Kit

Today I am featuring PiOT (Raspberry Pi Internet of Things) software from Initial State along with the MicroPnP (SmartMesh IP) Starter Kit from VersaSense.

Initial State’s PiOT software is essentially a short-cut for IoT development. This software gives you the capabilities to connect to the internet with your device, collect sensor data, and transfer it to end devices or to a GUI (Graphical User Interface). In conjunction with this software, DigiKey has put together a list of hardware to help you get started. By following the online tutorial for Initial State’s PiOT software together with DigiKey’s extensive hardware offering, developing your design and getting connected to the internet has never been easier.

The other product I am excited about is the MicroPnP Starter Kit from VersaSense. This kit comes with the wireless manager, two wireless devices, four plug-and-play peripherals (temperature and humidity, light, passive infrared, and a buzzer actuator), and a programming peripheral for commissioning and updating nodes. Perfect for industrial applications, the SmartMesh IP technology allows these devices to self-form a multi-hop mesh of wireless nodes. This means nodes that need to communicate that are not within range of one another can adapt and self-adjust to use a third, closer node as an intermediary.
