Murata Power Solutions offers their NXE1 Series of low-cost, 1 watt, ultra-compact DC-to-DC converters. Measuring only 12.7 millimeters by 10.4 millimeters by 4.8 millimeters, these converters feature a profile of more than 30 percent lower than the 7 millimeters height industry norm, which makes them suitable for use in even the smallest space-constrained designs. Also, unlike other isolated surface-mount DC-to-DC converters, the NXE1 Series has the benefit of being manufactured using automated manufacturing processes with a substrate embedded transformer that greatly improves overall product reliability and delivers consistent performance characteristics. And because of the industry-standard, pin-compatible footprint, this low-profile converter series is ideal for a replacement product in existing designs as well as for new compact applications.
