Infineon’s TLE4922 is a low-power active mono-cell Hall sensor that is an easy-to-use and cost-effective solution for robust speed sensing for crankshafts, transmissions, speedometers, or industrial applications. The sensor has a wide operating voltage and internal protections, can be back biased with a small, low-cost bulk magnet when necessary, and all signal conditioning is performed in the IC, providing a digital output that can be easily interfaced to the controller. The TLE4922 employs an adaptive symmetrical hysteresis algorithm and provides superior sensitivity, accuracy, and jitter compared to passive sensors, especially at low speed and rotation frequency. The sensor is AEC-Q100 qualified and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +155°C.
