Integrated Common Mode and Differential Mode Chokes

The purpose of this training module is to introduce users to the theory and benefits of integrating two separate components (common mode and differential mode filters) into a single integrated CMDM magnetic part. The objectives are to first review the function of common mode and differential mode magnetic components and present design examples of both. Second, the concept, design equations and a design example is presented for the integrated CMDM and a comparison is done between the two solutions. Finally, the CMDM series of components from Pulse Electronics, a YAGEO Company is presented.
